What is Oblique Drawing?

An oblique drawing represents an object in all the three dimensions in the form of drawings. This type of drawing is generally used by the marketing department to showcase a product and its features in as real a manner possible.


The oblique drawing can be done in three styles:

• Normal

• Cavalier

• Cabinet

This is an example of oblique drawing by cavalier projection of a box. As can be seen, all three dimensions are explained in the picture.
