What is 24x7?

24x7 : It numerically means that something is available or is normally always open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is used mostly in the context of business and commerce.


So, in market and industries, a 24/7 service is business available with no interruptions regardless of time or day. Sometimes it is also known as non-stop service or round the clock service.

In Industries, often it is very important to run their production facilities on 24/7 basis. Likewise Utility service provider cannot afford to interrupt their service because of the sheer nature of it, e.g. Electric service providers, Water supply etc.

Professional like attorneys, physicians, and veterinarians provide round the clock service at emergency calls.
